Hello my name is Tom Joyce and I'm from Chicago.

   I'm a realistic artist who strives to capture the character

   of subjects in my paintings. I'm inspired by the work of

   old master artists such as Rembrandt, Titian and Velasquez.

           My work is featured in the book "Best of Portrait Painting"

   I'm a member of the American Artists Professional League

   and have exhibited with them in NYC. I'm also a member

   of the Oil Painters of America.

      I've painted portraits of many notables including the musician

   Derek Warfield of the Wolftones,Frank McCourt, CPD Supt.

   Matt Rodriguez and US Marshall James Whigham.

      I'm a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago.

   I studied at the American Academy of Art and privately

   with the noted artist,Mohamed Drisi who was commisioned

   to do Princess Grace's portrait.
